PRAYER FOR OUR MISSIONARIES

Did you know, our Snowdon family is partnering with 20 missionaries, single and married couples, serving the Lord in ten countries from east to west?  We need to constantly reaffirm our partnership by prayer because the Lord desires to work through the prayers of His people.

Below you will find guidelines on prayer for missionaries. These are not rules, but are intended to encourage you to develop a meaningful prayer pattern where you will integrate prayer for missionaries in your daily devotional time.  Use them for prayer as individuals, as families and in small groups and find real joy communicating with God and affirming our desire to extend His kingdom round the globe and seeking His daily strength, guidance and comfort.

Current news and information from the missionaries will be communicated under the MISSIONS CORNER in our Sunday bulletins.  Please read them and keep in mind the contents for prayer.

The Missions Team will regularly update this list of missionaries. Therefore, please keep and save these pages and use them when you pray.

PRAYER FOR MISSIONARIES AND MISSIONS

You are free to develop your own pattern under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

The following suggestion is from the Missions Team of Snowdon.

Keep the list of the missionaries in a place where you can see it every day during your prayer time.  Focus on one missionary each day.  That way you will be praying for all the missionaries almost every two weeks. You are, of course, free to focus on more than one missionary each day as the Spirit leads you.

Please pray for:

  1. The Glory and honour of God in the life and work of the missionary
  2. The physical and emotional life of the missionary
  3. God's protection and daily guidance
  4. Ability and skill to communicate.  Courage to face unexpected, abnormal situations
  5. Missionary's coworkers; for harmonious and productive relationships
  6. Missionary's family
  7. His/her country of service

Also remember in prayer:

Persecuted Christians around the world in countries such as China, Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Sudan.

Also, give praise and thanks to God for the many blessings and good things happening around the world.  Specific items will be mentioned in the "Missions Comer" in the bulletin from time to time.
